For the purposes of this discussion, assume that the animal is reasonably tame / friendly with you, so like, if you want a pet tiger you can have a pet tiger and it won't eat you. But you still have to deal with the practicalities: if you have a pet elephant where are you going to keep her and how are you going to feed it?
I would have a koala because koalas are adorable and I've always wanted to snuggle one but the zoo would never let me even when I was little. I think he would be easy to care for because they are mostly lazy and nap all the time. 
I would get some potted trees and install some climbing sticks and he could live in my solarium except when I was sad and want to cuddle him to cheer myself up.

The final leg of the saga. I asked her out, she said yes. We went out yesterday and had a really nice museum date!! Or so I thought at least. Watched twin peaks at her place afterwards, we wrapped up the date with a kiss, everything seemed good.
Then, weird energy today. I address it and she hits me with the "I'm feeling more good friend vibes between us"
I have to see this woman everyday now for the foreseeable future. It's never been more over

I know because it happened to me.
My political evolution over the years:
16/17yo: first time I became interested in politics. I would mostly get my news from political commentators like TYT. I mainly cared about income inequality caused by capitalism & racism. Over the years I moved further to the left and identified as an anarcho marxist. (I was never a SJW or into the whole LGBTQ+ thing and up to that point I wasn't into feminism either. But I wasn't an anti feminist or homophobic).
21/22yo: pandemic + first interested in feminism
23yo: i learned about radical feminism, became a terf and obsessed with everything trans.
24yo: after a year I became too misandrist, angry and hateful. I had dark fantasies that I knew would never happen. I decided that being that angry would never make me happy and I stopped caring about everything. I delete my Reddit account, Twitter and unsubscribed from all GC and radfem YouTube channels and start focusing on my job and studies.
26yo: I became a terf again and went back on twitter & YouTube. I became more blackpilled by Musk's algorithms on twitter and anti woke channels that host GC people, but were also right leaning, race realist, conservative, etc.
This is where I'm at now, I went from one extreme to another (Marxist -> misandrist radfem -> tradcon(?)). And even thought I would still call myself a progressive (I'm sure many on the left would call me a conservative) and economically speaking I'm center left. More and more I can see where social conservatives come from. Ofcourse being a radfem meant I was already against prostitution, porn, hookup culture. But now I see the value in religion, in gender roles etc. It's not that I necessarily think they're good, it's just that they're better than the alternative.
As a WoC I might have even become a race realists. It's interesting that there are "progressive" arguments against immigration and for segregation. I'm not a segregationist but I am against (mass) immigration. Sometimes I even think, maybe I should go back where I came from, because I do feel somewhat hypocritical living in Europe. In my defense I'm adopted and not an immigrant or the child of one (idk if that makes it better).
It's also interesting that if it's true that the reason Africa is poor is because they genuinely have lower iq than whites, than the smart thing to do is to set up some kind of (humane, if possible) eugenics program. There is no reason to believe that Africans over time couldn't become more intelligent like Europeans and Asians did.
I wonder what my political believes will be in 5-10 years. In all honesty I hope I don't move further to the right. Sometimes I wish I could stop caring about politics all together, but I'm afraid I can't. I tried in the past but I can never ignore it for too long.

This winter we have watched Magnolia, Eyes Wide Shut, There Will Be Blood, When Harry Met Sally, History of Violence, Amadeus, Peanut Butter Falcon, Mulholland Drive and Entrapment. For the most part we are trying to watch something acclaimed/artistically edifying once per week (no Marvel type shit allowed).

I grew up living in state housing and never once questioned my parents income, it was never a discussion.
We didn't eat a lot of take away because it was considered a treat, not a food group.
We ate homemade meals consisting of meat, potatoes and vegetables - (which were not an optional choice). No vegetables, no sweets!!!
We grew up during a time when we mowed lawns, pulled weeds, babysat, washed the car, stacked firewood, hung the washing, helped neighbours with chores to be able to earn pocket money.
We by no means were given everything we wanted.
We went outside a lot to play, kick the footy, play cricket, hop scotch, ride bikes, run with friends, play hide and seek, climb trees, looked for frogs and tadpoles, or went swimming.
We rarely just sat inside.
Bottled water was unheard of.
If we had a coke, it was in a glass bottle and we didn't break the bottle when finished.
We saved it and cashed it back in at the shops for a bag of lollies.
After school, we came home and did homework and chores, before going outside or having friends over.
We would ride our bikes for hours.
We had to tell our parents where we were going, who we were going with and be home when the street lights came on!
You LEARNED from your parents instead of disrespecting them and treating them as if they knew absolutely nothing.
What they said was LAW and you did not question it and you had better know it!
We watched what we said around our elders because we knew if we were rude or ill-mannered to any grown-up, we would get a real telling off, it wasn't called abuse, it was called discipline!
We held doors, carried the shopping and gave up our seat for an older person without being asked.
You didn't hear swear words on the radio in songs or TV.
"Please and Thank you", were part of our daily vocabulary! 💯
And we were never ever ever ever bored.
